Before that, warehouse staff carry out acceptance and quality inspection and share the results with you. There is also a 5-day (120-hour) return window from the Warehoused status: if there is a quality problem the seller covers the return shipping; an unconditional return costs the seller's shipping plus return shipping plus a ¥5 service fee, and it only works if the seller agrees. Sealed goods follow stricter standards, for example sneakers must keep their security tag and skincare its seal.

That UK company and address are the same ones MuleBuy uses, so Hipobuy is best understood as a sister brand in the MuleBuy family. MuleBuy is the larger of the two, with about 1.27 million monthly visits versus Hipobuy's roughly 813,000, and Hipobuy's return rules for sealed products are identical to MuleBuy's.

Hipobuy's insurance page covers two kinds of incident: loss or damage in transit, and seizure by customs. Claims must be filed within 7 days of signing for the parcel or within 45 days of dispatch. Hipobuy will not compensate for force majeure, claims without evidence, late claims, theft after delivery, prohibited items or problems caused by the customer.
