Taobao is the exception: UIDBuy identifies Taobao products by an internal encrypted ID rather than the number in the URL, and its Taobao pages sit behind a login, so a raw Taobao link cannot be turned into a UIDBuy product page from outside. If your find is on Taobao, use an agent that accepts the plain numeric ID. Note too that 1688 listings frequently carry supplier minimum order quantities.

What it earns instead is the exchange rate, and that is the number to judge it on: UIDBuy converts at roughly 6.07 CNY per US dollar against a mid-market rate near 6.73, about a 10.9% markup. On a ¥600 item that is roughly $10 over the mid-market conversion, before shipping. Storage past 90 days, package previews at ¥20 and repeat returns at ¥5 are charged separately, but none of those is a commission on what you buy.

A 2 kg parcel to the United States returns seven carriable lines, from about ¥230 on the slowest economy service up to roughly ¥300 for sensitive-goods handling. Declare batteries or magnets and that falls to two lines; declare liquids and it falls to one. Some destinations are much thinner — the same parcel to the United Kingdom returns only two lines. Check that your destination and goods type actually have a route before you plan around UIDBuy.

Its configuration publishes three prices openly: carton packing at ¥3 per parcel, tag removal at ¥1 per parcel, and insurance at 3% of the declared value. Two more are stated in its own help copy: a package preview costs ¥20 per application and is non-refundable, and returns are free once a month with a ¥5 fee from the second request on. A row of further packing add-ons appears in the same table priced at ¥3 each, but their internal names call them free — a contradiction we will not resolve on UIDBuy’s behalf, so those are not listed here. Its Discord, Telegram and Reddit channels were created in February 2026 and it has posted no platform announcements since, so it is a new agent rather than an established one — that is a statement about how much evidence exists, not an allegation about how it operates. The practical approach is the one you would take with any new agent: place a small first order, check the three to five free quality-check photos before you pay for shipping, and do not let an expensive parcel drift toward the end of the 90-day free-storage window.
